# Start a discussion

### Step 1 : Select the House

Navigate to the house you want to create a discussion for.&#x20;

You need to join the house to be able to create a discussion.

### Step 2 : Initiate a Discussion

* Navigate to the Discussions tab and click on <img src="/files/zwdTm8TTdoIEK1thdefF" alt="" data-size="line">button on top right side
* Add the details for your discussion : Title, Description and Tags(optional)

### Step 3 : Save and Preview

Review details of your discussion carefully and once everything seems good, click on Create Discussion button&#x20;

### Your discussion is now live on Townhall! Share with your network and invite them to join the conversation!
